Knowledge when shared, grows. Open Gyan is an initiative to help students who are struggling to get exposure. Open Gyan is in its inception and originated from the minds of few of us when we debated and discussed about our  To start with, we are in the process of rolling out a small initiative for initial set of few students. Through this initiative, we will be interacting and helping out those students to gain experiential learning. This learning program is a long term program (which we believe that will run for two to three years time). At the end of this program, the students who underwent the training will be able to take up work or research as their career. More importantly this initiative will inculcate the habit of "getting the hand dirt" rather than "waiting for things to happen". We always believe that knowledge has to be shared and openness in sharing knowledge. The word "Gyan" refers knowledge. So the name "Open Gyan". It also closely takes the resemblances from Open Source. We would like to have this program as "Free" as far as cost is concerned, "rigor and vigor" as far as the whole quality of the program.
